After crunching the numbers for May through September, 10 garments stand out as MVPs (Most Valuable Players.) Each hit double digit ‘wears’ over the course of 5 months.

RL white jean cut-offs - 37 wears!
Jean cut-offs (thrifted) - 27 wears
Lululemon OTF - 17 wears
MAC jeans - 14 wears
Black floral T - 15 wears
Boden striped T-shirts (3) multi stripe - 14 wears, navy/white and
black/white - 13 wears each
Red Nootka print T - 12 wears

A Red Cross body bag (Danier Leather), and a Tilley hat were the hardest working accessories (besides face masks ).

I’m definitely a shorts wearer during hot weather, but I’m also a fan of the coverage provided by long sleeves (and hats) when out of doors. I wasn’t much into dresses this summer, with the paisley dress (pic #2) seeing the most wears at 5 (once each month!)

So far this year I have bought 15 items (4 thrifted) and edited out 14. With 3 months left to the year, I have spent exactly 50% of my annual clothing budget!

Going into October I’m looking forward to wearing wider legged bottoms - both cropped and full length, and doing more with layering/toppers. I see no gaping wardrobe holes, but will need to do a little cold weather accessories shopping (gloves, mitts, and hats). I’m toying with developing a capsule of brown items, but need to think on it a little more.

Have you been able to identify any summer MVPs? Do you find summer garments have shorter lives? (More wear? More frequent washing?). Are you set for cooler weather?
