Hi All,

I have been sorting out my closet and have edited out a few pieces.

What is going out?

1) Cotton floral dress (five years old).  In decent condition but too "girly" for me now - a mix of a tad short, fit and flare and floral.  To the thrift shop.

2) Black and white tee dress (one year).  Love this but has a stain that I cannot remove.  Will become a rag as can't hand on.  Aside from the stain in fab condition.  Cross with myself!!

3) Black Satin bomber - four months - my worst purchase in a while.  Seams are splitting all over and in very poor condition.  Have tried to repair but splitting again.  Unfortunately to landfill.

4) Cognac tote - purchased four years ago second hand.  Have upgraded as showing lots of wear and no longer useable.  To landfill.

5) Cream dressy tee.  Five Years.  Love the colour and sleeves about this top but length (at my widest hip) is unflattering.  In great condition.  To thrift shop.

6) Black faux distressed tee - gift second hand.  Too RATE and off to the thrift shop.

7) Black exercise crops - genie relaxed style.  Four years.  Worn out.  To rags.

8) 1920s hat.  Never worn as brim does not allow me to see clearly......One year old.  To thrift shop

Poor purchases = 2 (hat and bomber)
Worn out = 2 (genie pants and bag)
Style shift = 2 (cream top and floral dress)
Messiness = 1 (striped dress)
Unwanted hand me down = 1 (tee)

Lessons

I am not sure there is a trend here....There were two purchases that were careless...both were impulse buys.  I regret the bomber as I do like it a lot but Dotti your quality is variable.....

I have about five pieces that I am unsure about. It is not fit issues more challenges around styling them, wearing them or whether they suit me.  But that will be a new post.

Thanks Angie and all for the prompt.
