*Hugs the sun (well virtually...). Mama suntiger still loves you very very much!*
Haha all! The trouble is, my cold weather wardrobe is Dire-hence the need for wardrobe fairies
My summer skirts and dresses are both dressy and forgiving enough that getting dressed is easy. No cluttery layers, no tweaking proportions, easy peasy.
We have maybe 3 weeks of mild transitional weather, than Nov and Dec are generally not too bad weather wise. I can get away with just adding tights to my normal skirt/blouse outfits.
Once I start needing pants, it's bad. They're uncomfortable, unforgiving of my wonkybody, and just too casual. The only ones that still feel and look ok are my NYDJ ponte pants. I'm checking the local shops for similar, but the quality hasn't been as good. And I want some in burgundy, and not just skinnies. Because wider pants may mitigate....
the too casual booties, that look really awkward with skinnies. Despite the hours I spend tarrago-ing. I own 5 non-snow booties, 3 heeled, 2 flat. Of the heeled ones, one rubs on my ankles when I walk, one feels too high, one is good. I work 5-6 days a week and do not go out by choice in cold weather otherwise. What was I thinking?
Off to the shops-unless the wardrobe fairies want to plop some nice things into my closet!
