Hello lovely YLF'rs!

[Firstly, I am so excited - my camera is finally fixed. YIPPEEEEEE! Now I can finally get back on track with fine tuning my look(s).]

In essence, I need you all to guide me so I can look as lovely as you well coiffed ladies on the forum. I'm bridesmaid in less than two weeks (hence the urgency)- moreover I am sick to death of struggling with my silly hair. It is completly lacking any style and the colour is now quite revolting.

Can you please look at moi and offer any advice as to:

1) What cut do you think would suit me most?

2) What colour or colours would you recommend (going grey around the temples - you can probably see the lovely regrowth in photo 1. Light brown hair which goes brassy way too easily mmmmmmm - not!) I would prefer a lower maintenance colour - I don't think I can afford a nice, quality blonde (I hate having to be realistic sometimes, but there it is.)

Case in point - Exhibit A, taken five minutes ago. Here I am day two after day one's blowdry and GHD straighten. Yep, I know. It's bad. (I can hear you all sighing "oh Katiepea, what have you done?!I" and in case you are having a panic attack - no, even I don't generally go out and about in public with my hair like this). This photo has been taken to clearly illustrate how truly bad my hair can look without a lot of work. I have curly parts, cow licks, flicky out-y bits and straight parts. The colour is now ridiculous.

Exhibit B is after lots of effort styling and following a colour and cut. This was taken at my birthday a couple of months ago. I think it is boring and to be honest, I'm not really sure it does anything for me. (Apologies for the silly expression on my face. At least I have makeup on though. Oh and photo one was au naturale to show you my natural colouring, not because I was too lazy to put makeup on. ;-)) I'm hoping it is also evident that I've lost some weight since photo two was taken, so my face is now not quite as round as it appears here.

I'm also finding that as the temperatures heat up, no matter how much defrizzer I use, how many conditioning treatments, how much hairspray or even my trusty GHD, I'm still stuck with my fine hair going frizzy. I am going ~*~*~*~*crazy*~*~*~*~* with the frizz!

So, please tell me - what do I do? Honestly, I have no idea! I don't know what colour, I don't know what style. Proviso needs to be that if you look in photo one, you can see a monstrous cow lick (even in photo two, you can see it lingers ever so slightly, even after a LOT of work), so a fringe would be mighty difficult unless you have some suggestions for me? HAYELP! Please. I'm wanting to get my hair "fixed" this week, so I can feel stylish and good about myself when I am part of the wedding.

Anyone - please? Pretty please? (with lots of sugar on top!) I want to feel feminine, pretty, young(ish) and stylish (I don't ask for much) not old and faded and unkempt.
