Hello YLF-ers! I am a very shoe-ignorant lady seeking advice. I've been wearing thrifted or cheapo flats for a very long time, and the bad quality and ouchy fit is starting to wear me down. What advice would you give to someone new to shopping for decent-quality shoes? What brands would you suggest?
I haven't been impressed by the durability of the Naturalizer and outlet Nine West shoes I've picked up on sale, but I've heard positive things about Clarks, Sofft, and Frye flats. I think I can spend up to about $120, and I'm willing to comb eBay or wait for sales.
I have the vague idea that I would prefer leather and that I don't want any fussy embellishments-- just dead simple ballet flats. Is this asking for the moon, or do the sort of shoes I'm describing really exist?
I realize this isn't much to go on, but I would love to hear any advice you might have. Thank you very much!
