Seeking a sweater...

I'm experimenting with the oversized silhouette, which I struggle with. I would like to add an easy, slouchy sweater to my wardrobe, but I don't really like to add a lot of bulk to my frame.

The color is a richer burgundy than it appears in the pics -- they're overexposed to show detail. The body is huge but lightweight and drapey. I don't mind the back view, which is more than I can say for one I just tried on that did a very unflattering cup-under-the-butt thing!

What do you think of this? A trend I should pursue? I may share some more today...

I like this - I especially like the back view as it drapes beautifully over your back-end.
I think the colour is also great for you - I immediately notice your eyes - of course your "newish" hair do draws me to your eyes as well.

I think it's just a question of finding the sweet spot between oversized and gigantic! This one works on you, Janet, since you're so nice and tall.

I actually just bought a different color slouchy Wyatt sweater and was very happy with the amount of oversized-ness. I think this brand has got the look right.

I like this a lot, and I think I know why: the draping of the fabric creates a pleasing and slimming effect, and sends the eye up and down. I think they key to this style is fluid and draping fabric I think you found a winner.

I think you look great! The sweater doesn't appear too bulky at all. It will be so cozy! I also think you can pair some great scarves with it.

Thanks for all the great feedback -- I'm glad this won approval because I liked it, even though I was kind of laughing at what happened when I put my arms up to the sides. Good thing I don't walk around like that.

DJ, I am usually a 6 (sometimes 8) in tops and I bought this in a small, which is typical for the roomier tops out these days.

That looks great! It drapes nicely and, despite the extra coverage, shows your figure to advantage. Plus it's a great colour (in general, and for you in particular).

Great sweater, especially the back; that really adds just the right amount of tailoring to this. If those sleeves will fit, I think a moto would look super with this for a volume-over-skinny short-over-long look.
