Secret Santa: Logistics question...

I regret having to be the one to ask about this, but in the event that my gift doesn't make it, am I forever forbidden to know who my SS is? How long should I wait for it? My Secret Santa sent her gift and was told it would arrive by Monday, yet it is still not here

I have the oposite situation ,the gift I sent was suposed to have arrived.(it's not yours Maya )

I propose that next wednesday whoever hasn't received the presents be told who the SS are so that we can solve the situations.I would hate do depriee the person I sent the present of it.

Miss Maya, I just had a look at who your SS is and I'm sure everything will be fine! I'll bet it's customs holdups....I had one parcel take over 2 weeks to get to the USA lately and another take 4 days so it seems like the mail is quite unpredictable.

I'll bet it'll show up soon- do you have saturday mail delivery in the US?

We do have Saturday delivery. I have, shockingly enough, never had a delayed package before--not from abroad, not over the holidays, not ever! So perhaps I am overreacting.

I have every confidence that it's going to show up very soon

We'll chase up any missing parcels with each SS gifter if they aren't here by Wednesday as suggested by Celia

Thats a good idea....I sent mine out on black friday and it still hasnt arrived! aagghhh!

I'm in the same boat as Maya. I think that sounds like a good idea to check in on Wednesday. In the meantime, it's a blast to watch others opening their Secret Santa presents with hilarious photos!

I have the same issue with the gift that I sent - the notice that I received this a.m. stated that it would be delivered today - so, I've got my fingers crossed that she receives it by the end of the day!

For any ladies posting to Australia I just wanted to reassure you not to worry at this stage that it's been lost in the post - our postal system can sometimes be a tad erratic (read S-L-O-W). (ie: When I posted my gift to the US, I was told it could take upwards of 10 days to over two weeks, so I'd expect it probably works the same way in reverse.)

If my dear Elfster has posted on this thread and is reading this - just know that I'm not concerned! I'm very excited and am happily waiting. Just knowing that you thought of me and have sent a little gift for me makes me smile. I'll be sure to post on the other thread as soon as it arrives! x
