Secret santa~ a couple of questions for clarification

#1~ The gift is to arrive with the person by December 10th. Do we all open them on the 10th, when they arrive (if before) or on Christmas day?
#2~ Do we get to find out who our santa is? Do we start a thread for the forum to guess? Or will it be forever a secret?

It's Megan's baby, so I'll let her decide, but I definitely think we should reveal secret santas at some point--it's no fun if it's forever a secret. I do like the idea of the forum guessing!

I'm hoping we can open the gifts when we receive them. First off, I just don't have the willpower to hold onto a gift for two weeks if it's sitting in my house, and if we wait until Christmas the guessing might get lost in all of the posts about items people found under their trees! Plus Chanukah is actually really early this year--from December 1 until December 9--so it seems mean to make people who don't even celebrate Christmas wait two weeks to open their gift!

Hi lovelies,

Patience is definitely not my style so opening presents when they arrive is definitely what I'll be doing

I'll start a guessing who your secret santa thread is then do a big reveal once everyone has posted about their gift

Send gift with no return address
Open your gift when it comes
Hazard guesses whenever the thread is started
Reveal gifts and santas on Dec. 1)

I'm kind of wary about posting without a return address - can we send them with our return address but without our name listed? I'd feel terrible if the package was mis-directed & never made it to my recipient or back to me.

The 10th is correct- I think Louise is excited to get to open her pressie on the 10th rather than than the 25th

ETA: Oops- my bad. Realised that I've been ultra confusing- I didn't count account for the fact that people would be super organised and send their pressies early

I sent my present yesterday and it should be with my person by next Wednesday. I did have to put my name and address on the parcel because of customs so they will know who it is from straight away!
