Okay, that's Great Pants Ordering Project...I was afraid that was too much to fit in the title line. And I really considered not posting the rest! Seeing in Angie's "what are your favorite bottoms" post that I'm the only one interested in loose and dark at the moment...maybe there is no need to even review. That would also help explain why I had to do most of it online too. Oh well, I dance to my own beat! And in case anyone is interested, here goes.
1) Limited Drawstring Palazzo...not terrible, but definitely not summer survival wear. I was hoping for something rayon-ish, but they are thick polyester.
2) Loft Fluid Wideleg...ditto
3) Level 99 Linen Wideleg...these are great pants! Soft and lightweight, and despite being called blue, the color really looks medium grey to me. I debated keeping them, but the "drawstring" is deceiving...these are cut like jeans and the drawstring serves no function that I could tell. If you size up maybe, but I didn't think they were meant to be worn loose. Final decision against...I have a similar pair in dark grey and they really are not what I was looking for.
4) Loft Linen Drawstring...softer than past Loft linen, really pretty nice. As long as you stand up. On me they failed the sit down test, very weirdly. Not at all comfortable.
5) EF stretch linen...okay wow, this is the strangest material I have ever seen. Very rough and scratchy. I've seen raincoats made out of something similar!
6) EF Wideleg Linen...we have a winner!!! Can something be loose and roomy and wide leg and still look slim? These do! These were rec'd by Greyrainbow on my original thread and she is right...they are more flattering on than that picture shows. I think they might move me into JFE territory, which is a step up from NRFAA (not really flattering at all). Plus very soft and light! I honestly don't care what they cost, since proof positive they are a rare find. And hey, they actually weren't the most expensive pair! Now for washing and hemming and then the proof of wearing. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far. Hope this helps someone, although maybe not if I'm the only one who wants this style. Oh well!
