We had a blast at the Seattle swap! It was so nice to see a bunch of familiar faces (from previous YLF events) and meet many news ones including two Amys, Laura, Aida... We had mimosas too, and some wonderful savory and sweet snacks, and there was as much mingling and socializing as there was swap activity going on. The reporter and photographer from the Seattle Times were super nice and friendly and seemed to enjoy themselves tremendously (the reporter participated in the swapping too!).
I was thrilled to snag a super cute pleather jacket is sooooo 80s looking - love it already. Also scored a handful of other items that I cannot wait to wear. And seeing other women try on and getting excited about the items I brought was just as much fun. So cool when one woman's closet orphans become another woman's new treasures!! It works perfectly.
And of course it was a special treat to have Angie there, who worked her magic and helped everyone find something special and gave fit and styling advice on the spot. I modeled a multi-stranded necklace I wasn't sure about (quite boho, which isn't really my style), and Angie quickly made some adjustments by removing a couple of strands and suddenly it looked stellar and worked for me. Fabulous.
Hope everyone else had a great day, can't wait to hear more!
