Seattle Shopping

Hi everyone!

I am moving to the Seattle area in about three weeks and was wondering if the Seattle locals of the group could suggest places to shop (boutiques, vintage shops, etc) other than the chain stores like AT and ATL.

I mostly shop at AT, ATL and Banana Republic. But I like to mix in some vintage clothing and accessories. My fashion persona ranges between the modern classic and the artistic eclectic. I'd really like to find some shops in Seattle that are unlike the big chain stores.

Hi Natalie,

are you comfortable posting pictures of some of your outfits that you like, so we can get an even better feel for your style? For now, the consignment stores I like in Seattle are:

Fury (Madison Valley) - hands down the best
Le Frock (Capitol Hill) - trendier, but also smaller

These are alright, but not as great as the first two:
Oh Bella (Ravenna)
Rebekka's (Kirkland)

There are some nice local boutiques in these neighborhoods: Fremont, around Pioneer Square, and in Belltown. I also heard great things about a couple places in West Seattle, but I can't remember the names. I think I wrote them down and will look at home tonite.
I personally live in the south end and go to Andaluz in Columbia City for great earrings and a small but nice collection of clothes.

I second Fury and Le Frock. Ballard has some cute boutiques such as Dolce Vita and ReSoul, unfortunately Olivine is now closed.
In Fremont I like Les Amis, Merge. Lola Pop has great European clothes and shoes.
Alhambra which is downtown near Nordstrom Rack is a bit spendy but has nice stuff as well.

Antje, I would love to go to a clothing swap. I've never been to one before. And I'm planning a big purge of my clothes once I get unpacked.
I'll also post some outfits soon, but my home computer is packed up and on the moving truck right now!
