I am going to Seattle for Inge fest. Big question. How will the weather be. Here it will still be in high 80's low 90's. I know it will be cooler there but how much cooler. Packing will be a challenge.

Angie says it will be in the 60's during the day and lower at night. She will update us as the days get closer.

Typically cooler and more rain (think drizzle). But we are having a warmer than usual summer, so it may extend until then. Basically check the weather a few days before and plan accordingly.

And what Anna said. MUST check the weather report a few days before you leave. No sense in deciding now.

The 60s is optimistic for late Sept. The high 50s is a better bet. It will be cooler in the morning and at night. Drizzle is very possible. No flares. Bring fashionable walking shoes with socks, toppers, and a small umbrella.

Argh, I am leaving home 2 weeks before the meetup so last minute weather reports are out! I guess I have to pack for all types of weather then.
Angie, do you think I need to bring a trench or leather jacket should be enough? I guess sweaters and shirts are in so I can dress for warmer or colder weather as required.
The biggest issue is footwear: I guess booties are the way to go, right? Do they need to be really waterproof for Seattle weather?

Even if you check the weather report and it says sun, it's a good idea to bring cold or rainy weather outfits too. Our weather can shift and it can get breezy/chilly evenings during summer at times. Late Sept. gets less daylight and thus less daytime warmth vs. what we have right now.

We rarely get intense, heavy downpours of rain, in contrast to TV/movie stereotypes. What's more typical is gray/ overcast sky with drizzly rain off and on. Waterproof footwear or jackets are not usually a necessity. In fact, I really don't have 100% waterproof footwear and I've lived here my whole life.
Most locals don't use umbrellas (there are some areas that can get windy), but I use one.

Debbie, I'm so glad you're coming to Seattle too! I'm flying over from the UK with a small carry on, so I'm going to be on that weather page every day before. I expect it'll be booties and jeans for me, plus a couple of nicer evening outfits.
