White mini lights on the house, wreath on the garage, and planters made up! Plain store bought wreath with a few natural elements added by me. Planters made up of greenery from our garden and recycled items from the long term collection. (Giant pinecones have seen 10 years!) I decided to omit bows this year. They seem to get droopy once they get wet.

Nothing done inside yet. I’m not sure if we’ll be doing a tree. Didn’t do one last year, and no one missed it. There was greenery throughout the house. The important things seem to be good food with some seasonal treats, music, family games, quiet time for reading.

My mother relocated to Port Hope this year, however I’m holding firm on a low key solstice that started December first, and stretches through to epiphany (January 6).

I’ve started work on the cards. We’re sending out 18 this year - to family and dear friends who live far away.

How is your holiday shaping up? Will it be quiet, or a family frenzy? Are you a minimalist or a maximalist when it comes to holiday decor? Do you send cards? Wrap and mail parcels? Share your holiday pics!

#5 garden sculpture came with the house, and the hat was a random thing. It has become a family tradition to place the cap on the ‘cold lady’
