Took advantage of a quiet mid-afternoon to make up the outdoor seasonal display - a wreath (#1) and two planters (#2+3). After several years of nature inspired displays (greenery, twigs, pine ones, and burlap bows) it was time to bring on the bling!

I bought a plain wreath ($30) and a stash of plastic baubles at the thrift store ($5). Sourced additional greenery from trees on the property. Bows refashioned from a garland used at our previous house.

Later this week I will cut some holly for the mantel over the fireplace and do up a bowl or vase of greenery. Outdoor lights have been strung along the eaves, but won’t get turned on until December 1st.

Have you felt the urge to change things up, or are you sticking with tradition? Tried and true colour scheme or periodically change things up? Please share pics of your seasonal/holiday decor - Hanukkah, Christmas, Solstice - whatever you celebrate.

Feel free to add to this thread anytime during the next month.

@ racheylou - is your neighbour up to his usual shenanigans again this year?
