I always thought that a seasonal wardrobe switch out only made sense for those with more extreme weather (although, living in the desert I did have extreme weather fluctuations!). Anyway, Jenn's post aboutswitching out her seasonal capsule inspired me to switch things up in my closets, since we live in the same climate. I live in a quirky hundred year old building in a zero bedroom apartment that I'm sure used to be part of a larger unit. I have what must have originally been a coat closet (complete with built in angled shoe shelves), and a small walk in that was probably the original bathroom.
I decided to move everything that I am likely to use regularly during the summer/early fall to the original closet (including light outerwear), and switch shoes around accordingly as well. I also hung my active capsule in outfits on the far left side (instead of folded in a drawer), so that I can grab and go in the mornings. The walk in closet now has a small hanging space on the left for my weekly outfits, my drawers for tees, sweaters, accessories, jammies, shorts, and SoonToBeMrCS'sthings, and then hanging space for the warmer pieces I am not likelyto grab for until later in the year. This also inspired me to clear a few things out.
I don't know why I never did this before- it makes so much sense!
