So fun! I loved the observation buried in the middle of the article, something like "this may seem totally intuitive, but fashion is a gazillion-dollar-a-year business and it's kind of amazing that nobody has done an actual study about it before." LOL
There may not be many studies of style or fashion, which I suspect is highly influenced by time and place, but there are gazillions of studies on shopping, which, if we are honest, is where the money is.
I wonder where the findings of the study put all of the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s - in terms of matchy matchy. I totally think of those decades as the "matched set" decades.
Like! Don't be frump, yet don't be too matchy-matchy. I wonder how one can imagine the outfits from the research images. It seems so difficult to evaluate from those stylized soulless drawings!
