Whew! That was close!

Since the close of my Holiday capsule (on Epiphany -- I know how to make Christmas last), I've been mostly unhappy when gazing in my closet in the morning.

Yeah, I'm restless by nature, thriving on challenge and creative projects. Now, I still love God and my sweet family, and we're all healthy, but I have a general sense of being stuck and thwarted. In my job (academia is not known for bold initiative and fresh thinking), in our desire to move and make some big changes. Add to this a poison eye for my snow boots and a record breaking winter, and it led to a general malaise that was taking the fun out of fashion and leaving me without that boost of confidence.

I've been in the habit of taking a pic of new outfit combos, even when I don't post a WIW, so I decided to go through my YLF iPhoto album to select some items to purge. As I clicked through the thumbnails, I realized I still really like a lot of them... Who knew? I had lost sight of the work I had already done, and was struggling to see anything but boring "stuff" hanging in my closet! I also perused my Pinterest style boards and found myself inspired and pleased with what I had already pinned. Well, there you go!

Now, I still think I should spend some time remixing my winter items, doing a bit of refreshing, and perhaps building a new capsule. But at least I have my pic outfits to rely on when I am feeling bereft. I can enjoy my favorites again, while I makes plans for spring. I have some budding ideas on deepening my sense of "personal" style that I'll share later.
