It's here. It is much more silver toned than blush toned taupe, but I like the color. It might actually be better, as it can be worn with my blushes and not clash. Not sure on the fit or the 'bedazzling' lol. Obviously wrinkled from packing, and the lapels are not ironed evenly, which irks me but I'm sure can be fixed (course I don't have an iron here lol).
I don't have much in the jeans dept here with me so I grabbed my new wine skinny cords and a blush colored sweater tank with nude shoes. Mostly so I could see how the colors would work together, not so much as a planned outfit per se. Also tried with a dress, but I don't think that works. Maybe over a skirt . . .

I love the colour - so pretty and I think you're right in that it might be a wee bit more versatile. A dry cleaner would be able to press out the wrinkles and get your lapels even. I like the length with pants but like you, I'm unsure over a dress. I really like how it's different and personally, I adore the bling. I'm not sure of the fit though Mo so will leave that to the experts.

Oh, I think it's good! Once you steam out the wrinkles it will be perfect. It's a great fit and the colour is lovely.

I wasn't sure if it should be more of an oversized fit? Of course, then I'd likely have to tailor the arms . . .

I'm having a hard time judging it because of the wrinkling, to be honest. I like the color on you, but it seems to be making you look pear shaped from the front (which I don't think you are!) and I can't tell if that's because of the wrinking making the lower satin part look more prominent or if it's because of the cut. I'm perhaps overly sensitive to pear-enhancing looks though since I'm always trying to minimize that for myself. Back view looks good so I think the fit it good.

Could you maybe try steaming it when you take a shower?

Ooh, assuming it steams/irons nicely, I think I like it! The fit looks really good to me as-is. I think bigger would be off in the shoulders and bust, since the stance looks pretty perfect here. I do not mind the bedazzling in this location.

The only area that is making me wonder about the fit is just under the bust on either side. It looks like it could be a smidge too big there.

I think you shoould keep the jacket. The color is pretty and the fit good on you, and the length works on pants better than the skirt I would say, but it might work on a dress too. Angie had a post on the boyfriend blazer and jacket lengths, and based on that, I think you could work a dressy knee length outfit, or a sweater dress under this!

The fit looks good to me - the color is great with those skinnies! I think if you feel it is going to work well in your wardrobe then it's a keep. I'd also try it with a black cami under it (that one you recently posted about maybe?)

I like the satin shawl collar. I do not like the big satin triangles on the bottom half. I agree with Diana, it makes you look more pear shaped than you really are.
If only the lapels were satin and it was cut straight at the hem, then I'd like it more.

I like the jacket, but I feel like maybe the construction is doing it in. It should be sharp, and I don't know that it can be, steam or no.

I'm not sure about it either, for the same reasons Diana mentioned. There is a lot I like about it, but I'm not wowed by that cut on you -- I don't think it does your amazing figure justice.

Soooooo, I'm an outlier here and I agree with Anna. (ETA: maybe not such an outlier here as I read the details of some of the posts and the ones made about the same time as me.) I don't think it is as fabulous as it needs to be to stay with you, Mo. I think it is cut oddly so that it at once looks a smidge too big in the shoulders and a smidge too tight across the bottom. Maybe the shiny bottom panels at the bottom of the jacket are contributing to that impression. However, I also see a little pulling at the vent in picture 8. I would return it if it were me. I do really love the color and concept, though.

I see what Anna sees. I'd like to see this steamed or ironed and styled. Heck, just chuck it in the dryer or something. But from these pictures it makes your shoulders look a bit narrow and sloping and I know they aren't.

How does it look open?

Love the color and the style - this is actually a cut that I LOVE, so the only issue is how it fits on you.

It's not an immediate WOW for me. That's not to say that you couldn't make it work, but, from the pictures, the fit doesn't seem particularly flattering around the bust and hip area. Personally, I'd stick with the wine.

It seems to me to be a fairly 'dressy' jacket that might not go very well with skirts or dresses due to the length?
As a fairly casual dresser myself I am not sure of its over-all versatility.

it is very hard to know without seeing it pressed. Thus far I think the shoulder and stance have a great fit. I am not sure on the satin bottom, the wrinkling is throwing me off.

To be honest, I don't love it. I don't care for the larger satiny shapes at the bottom. They don't flatter your nice figure; I would prefer to see the satin follow the same narrow line through the bottom.

I didn't expect the style and shape and for me it's too weird in front. I would find that limiting. To me, if you have a high-low jacket everything needs to be higher--more cropped in back and then the front points hitting higher at the hip line. These come at an unfortunate location for fabness.

I think the color is great, and I myself would have to use my mantra, PPP because I'm very prone to hanging on to items in delicious colors. But it just isn't making either the skirt or pants or you fabuloso as some different style could surely do. It looks more frumpy than fun.

Are you able to keep the idea of it in mind if something similar appears in the universe? Or move on to other types of jackets?

What Anna said. There is something off about those front satin triangles to my eye. The jacket seems too long for those insets, or the insets should have been higher up.

I really like the jacket from the stance up! I vote pass.

Thanks for all the input, on both sides of the coin. I do wonder how much is the poor presentation (wrinkles, not the proper pieces to style with) vs poor fit. There is no doubt it is straighter than I am. But I do think the pear look has a lot to do with where those bottom panels are folding from packing . . . much like my uneven boob shot with the peplum top due to lighting. I am going to sleep on it. Wish I could press it, but maybe the shower trick will help. I am likely heading to Tampa on Sunday, so I could return then if I decide it indeed needs to go back.

I just looked at the original with the model. I don't think the jacket fits her - see the drape on the body of the jacket from her arms down - the cut of the jacket may be too triangular even for the model.

The color, on the other hand, looks very different in this pic IMO
