I was just in JCrew - I didn't realize it was an EXTRA 20% off the already reduced price! So that's like 100.00 for the blazer. Dang. I think I need to go back - I tried on the Navy and loved it.

Unfortunately not all the colors of the velvet jacket are on sale to begin with. I dropped by JCrew to buy the green one at sale price with the 20% off (and then return the one I bought earlier) but the green ones aren't on sale - so ask first which colors are actually on sale.

AJ is right, which I why I mentioned the rhubarb velvet jackets specifically are on sale. As far as I can tell, in my store, those are the only color so far (but I didn't happen to see the navy, so I'd definitely call ahead or ask if you're in the store).

Ana! You're so funny, I love it. Thanks for calling me, too. I went in to JCrew today and looked at all the sale items. I didn't have time to try things on, but maybe we can go back on Friday. I did get the flower belts - two of them! The grey with the pink rosette, and the white and black one. These are so fun!
I also stopped by Express and got the jacket. Squee!!

That is a great belt. I wear it around my red long cardi sometimes.

Tanya, I checked to see if any of the skinny patent belts you wanted were on sale, but so far they aren't.

Hi, I'm the personal shopper at JCrew at the Domain in Austin and this is my first post to Angie's fabulous blog. Just to clarify about the velvet blazers: the rhubarb and carob colors are on sale at $129.99 with an extra 20% off as a final sale (no return or exchange) as of Saturday 9/12. The navy (which is the most classic color), green, & yellow are on a promotion of 25% off full retail price (no extra 20% final sale applies). If you want the ribbon belt in black & white, I suggest you call the store to put one on hold - I think that color may be sold out.

Ana, yay! I like being twins.
Happylife, I purchased the blazer in a 10. I typically wear M or 8 to 10s on top, and most certainly needed a 10 in the blazer. The 8 was pulling at the bust and was not comfortable in the shoulders.
