Sandals - to buy or not

I saw these shoes yesterday while shopping, but the only pair available was damaged.

I was surprised to find them online, so they could be a possibility.

They are super comfy even with a 3 inch heel (bc it's a chunky block heel) and are leather.

My hesitation is - I am trying to use footwear and bags to up my style quotient. Am I being swayed by the comfort factor, or are these fairly modern and cool? For those of you that know my style, are they "me" ?

Re buying sandals in Sept - not an issue. We have mild weather and I will get wear out of them, so no worries there.

ETA I also tried this pair (in black) but I like them in brown -- thoughts on these as well? I'm guessing the feedback will be that they're not quite as fashion forward??

I personally love them (the first pair). I think they are very modern and cool. I must admit that the heel height would throw me off (and probably cause me to fall). Nonetheless I admire shoes like this on other women.

The second pair does not move me. I feel I've seen them pretty much early where. I am a bit tired of them. The thickness of the straps in the first pair is new to me and the color blocking is intriguing. I would love to own the first pair.

Oh and can I tell you - I was SHOCKED when I put them on and honestly didn't feel like the heel was too much. I live an urban walking lifestyle and I am considering these for everyday. I've migrated to flat shoes but am realizing maybe they're not the best option for me - so trying to find heels that are comfy and stylish at the same time.

I wish you luck. I am on a mission in 2015 to find shoes that I can walk in all day long. I don't want to ever carry a second or back up pair of shoes again. I have accomplished this by buying wide-width shoes. That has helped a lot.

My fantasy would be to wear shoes like the first pair effortlessly. I have tried. I really have. I just can't seem to pull it off. YOU can live my fantasy!!!

Ha ha, sterling, I will keep you posted. Sometimes I end up in wide width shoes too, so I understand. I'm just trying for some sort of balance between fashionable and comfort. So hard!

I agree with Lisap. I love them as well.

I hope very much that you find the balance between style and comfort. I strive for that as well. It is so hard to find really good shoes that look great and yet can be worn for 10 to 12 hours at a time. I have never understood "sitting shoes" or "2-hour shoes." I got rid of the shoes in my wardrobe that were not comfortable. So far, six pair of shoes are gone. It pains me because they were in good shape (because they were so rarely worn).

Oh, those first ones are gorgeous. Different, but not crazy different. And if they meet the comfort quotient, go for it! Agree the second ones seem a bit more "ordinary". I'd say wait until next year rather than grabbing those.

Both are awesome. I definitely think you should try a heel and see how it goes.
I walk around everywhere in my Clarks 3.5" heel...Of course they're not as comfortable as flats, but they're not uncomfortable.

I also like the first one but am indifferent to the second one. However, for me, a three inch heel is a deal killer. I had to return the famous Okalas because I couldn't walk in them. If you can, more power to you.

If you really, truly are comfortable in them, and for an extended period of time, not just around the shop - then go for it. They look great and would be versatile.
