Sandals - gold or black? ETA Another color!

Ok, I know this is really arbitrary, but is there any good reason why I should pick these sandals in gold or black? Arghhh! Can't decide!!! I do not have any sort of sandals like this. So that does not help. I do have flats....in both black and gold. So no help either! Lol!

Uh oh, I found them in PEWTER too! Love pewter! Ok, NOW what do you choose?

I like the black, because they also have some of the gold elements, and look quite elegant.

I don't like the "body" of the shoe in gold as much.

I love black sandals, for these they stand out more than the gold! That's not my love of black shoes talking because I love metallics just as much.

If it were me I'd go with gold solely based on the fact that I do not like to wear black sandals What types of bottoms would you pair with mostly? The black will stand out more against your skin than the gold, which would function more as a nude.

My bottoms are mostly black, white or silver shorts. Or dresses in grey, olive or blue, and maybe a B&W striped dress. Basically being paired with all neutrals though.

Gold if you want low contrast and super summery, pewter if you want higher contrast. I personally prefer low contrast footwear when wearing shorts so that people's eyes aren't drawn up and down my legs any more than they need to be so I still vote gold

Well since you have gold and black flats, I vote pewter! I have all colors represented in my shoe/sandal wardrobe and pewter sandals get worn more than the others. Cute, BTW.

Gold was my initial reaction. Those were the one's I pinned. Then I thought about the black....and found the pewter on a whole other site. I do not like gold for jewelry so for some reason I felt like now I shouldn't chose gold for sandals.

On a side note, why are these kinds of decisions so hard? Why do I always feel like I will pick the wrong one, or the one that's not the best? Ugh, this is why I don't like too many options.

It depends on how you will wear them and your height or leg length. Short people like me usually pick sandals in light colors for the leg lengthening look. Although sometimes I am willing to sacrifice the long and lean for sandals that really strikes my style fancy.

Am I short? I think we're similar Denise at 5'5.5" (me). Is that short? I always felt average, but people do seem to think that I'm more like 5'3" all the time. I think they mistake small for short. I think my legs are short though....

I think pewter is a nice balance between light and dark. It seems you wear dark neutrals--black /olive mixed with creams. I think the pewter would be perfect for you!

Raisin, I'm about as pale as it gets and find that gold works remarkably well as a nude! In fact I am wearing gold slipper flats (my version of gold sandals) today as a nude shoe White actually pops out and becomes medium-contrast. The pewter would also be medium-ish contrast, so you could probably wear both pairs pretty easily. But I'm still on board for gold!

I have a special personal fondness for pewter and gunmetal, etc, and that color may look great on you. I already KNOW black on you is awesome so it's hard to say.
