Like the culottes, I like to start cheap if I'm trepidatious about a trend or a silhouette. So, at the beginning of summer I bought these sandals in black.

I really like them and have worn them a lot. I also bought a cheap pair of nude-for-me gladiator/cage type sandals that I thought I would like more for their leg-lengthening and hair-bookending properties but I don't. I have a fair bit of light footwear (my hair is light too) but lately I've been craving black footwear. I don't have edgy style by any stretch of the imagination but feel the right black footwear can bring some edginess/trendiness to an outfit. Do you think so too?

So, I'm thinking of upgrading the black sandals. My feet are not fussy but I'm becoming fussy about my feet so I've been looking at Suz's Sofft Bernias in black.

Do you think they are a good upgrade?
