The coat arrived today and I got a chance to throw on some jeans and boots for a try on.
The good: The shape is classic and very flattering. I love the cut and length. The lining seems decent enough quality.
The not as good: it’s a little smaller than TTS. This is a M and it would not fit over anything thicker than a thin tee. You can probably see a little evidence of that in the side view.
Also, I’m not sure I dig the nubby boucle-ish texture. Visually, it reminds me a little of carpet padding. And it’s not very soft to the touch. I think I’d like a solid teal in a softer, more luxe material. So I’m going to return this and keep an eye out for another coat in teal. I’m not in any great need for a new coat, so I’m prepared to be super picky about it.
It may work very well for someone else if the sizing is right and you don’t mind the texture.
