I know there is a lot love on YLF for the Petty. I have a taupe suede pair that are so comfy but haven't been able to wear them in MONTHS because of this winter! I really want a pair of black leather booties too (low heel). I've looked at many options but always come back to the Petty. The only thing I don't like is the brown heel on the black boot. So now I notice that Nordstrom has the black Petty with a black heel! Grrr that the Bay doesn't have them too! Anyway, the question is ... Can you have too many pairs of Pettys?

Well, I think they are very comfortable, I love the heel height, they are fab with trousers and jeans, so I would say another pair would be great to have. I wear my taupe suede ones frequently enough that I could certainly justify having them in another color.

I don't think so I love the style of the Petty and I think it's a very neutral looking bootie (does that make sense) that almost goes with everything. I think you need the black.

I think if it is a shape and style that works for you, then by all means, duplicate them!

I have two and wouldn't hesitate to get another. I agree with Deborah that they are a neutral.

I have the black leather Petty (with the black heel) and I highly recommend them. Very versatile and so comfortable.

I have the putty suede and python leather and would love to add a black or red pair too. I keep hoping for a big sale but they never seem to be marked down much. Never too many if they fit your style.

How do I not know this bootie? Pics please - and how do they work for slim ankles /borderline wide feet ?

Not to be an enabler but I triplicated my Impo's ... black, blue suede and leopard. I wear the black the most, the leopard the second most, and the blue suede seem to work best with skirts and dresses in the fall/spring. I would have bought a fourth pair in black if they hadn't sold out. I instead bought the Fidji's.

Thanks Ladies. Does anyone wear their Pettys with knee length skirts? Or do you think this style is exclusively for pants?

Shiny, I've never seen the black/white version before - fun! After I saw them on Angie I thought there was no way they'd fit my wider toe box but they do! Right now I only have the suede and I'm sure they're more forgiving than the leather but I find them very comfy. My ankles aren't that slim so can't help there! But Angie's are and she seems to like them!

They are such great boots, so practical! I say get another!

On a related topic, does anyone know if their riding boots run narrow or wide at the top? I was looking at this one:
http://www.thebay.com/webapp/w.....ther-boots and it does not give the measurement at the top. Such a good sale price! I have about a 13" calf and hate the big gap at the top.

I just looked them up on Nordstrom. Isn't the Bay online terrible at providing enough information? Anyway, Nordies says the calf circumference of the Loren is 15 inches. That seems a little bigger than average and maybe too big for you

I say yes. I have a similar one to the Petty and originally purchased the taupe. I loved it so much I bought the black suede - it has a black heel. So far I haven't been able to wear it due to winter but feel it was a great purchase. I haven't worn it with skirts/dresses but am mainly a pant girl.
