I spent a little time at my local Nordstrom yesterday. Have not been shopping much this year, so it was fun to pick out a few new items. The Halogen skirt and Majestic turtleneck were 2 of the pieces I really wanted to try, and they both worked out well. I purchased the skirt in blue and black -- fits TTS and it's just what I was hoping for. Nice substantial fabric and I love the graphic stripes. I'll wear it winter and summer, so I consider it a deal. Have heard raves about the Majestic turtle, and since turtles are my winter staple, this was a no brainer. It's very fitted, which I love. Works perfectly with the skirt.
The two sweaters were unexpected wild card finds. I love dramatic pieces, and the long Leith duster (fits TTS) ticks that box, yet it's very lightweight and could even be worn in cool air conditioning in the hot summer if desired. Will be great for mild winters, too. The floral sweater (runs big) just caught my eye and I think will work nicely with many bottoms, from jeans to skirts, dressy or casual. I had no intention of looking at or buying sweaters. They are usually all wool or cashmere, which I can't wear, and it's a zillion degrees here, so thinking about sweaters is tough.
I'm quite happy with my picks. Passed on many things, and I'm happy with that decision, too. If you are shopping the anniversary sale this year, I hope it's a positive experience for you, too.
