I call this ‘my Love Boat Dress.’ More dinner gown than gala ball gown, but I think it does for anything in California. It’s hard to tell, but it’s sparkly at the neckline and shoulders. I’m thinking I want a more disco necklace for it…

Yes! You look ready to celebrate. The colour and shape both look fantastic on you. I like the sparkly detail around the straps. A big "disco" necklace is a great idea. Or if you wear earrings, big chandelier earrings and no necklace would also be killer.

Lovely colour! Is that teal or petrol blue? I have a thrifted jacket that I've been considering donating because I don't have anything to wear it with, but it would go beautifully with your dress - maybe I should wear it to Sal's party & you can virtually borrow it if it gets chilly

I love being on team teal! I’ve discovered something tho in this year’s quest for it: I like my teal in something fancy. A teal t-shirt does not satisfy me at all. Lol. Need more virtual parties!

…. of course I was calling it teal and I think it is, but Petrol Blue gives me pause… it’s not petrol blue but it’s quite blue now that I think about it.

I need more champagne before I dance on the table. A good fried and her husband danced on the table at her daughter’s wedding. She was the last of five daughters to get married so I would be on a table dancing too.

@rachylou I think you're right - in my mind teal is slightly more green, but that might just be because I prefer that shade haha. Maybe a 'kingfisher blue' sort of teal is more apt? Doesn't matter because it's gorgeous either way!

Shall envy your dancing & ability to find lovely teal pieces from all the way over here, in my bright orange blazer, lol

Lovely Rachy- and I adored the Love Boat. I think you need a fruity cocktail to drink with this - a Mai Tai or Tequila Sunrise…. Along with a seat at the Captains Table.

Ohhh…may I have a tequila sunrise too? That was the first cocktail I ever had. I think I was about 20 and was invited to the Auckland University Engineering Ball by a date and he bought it for me. Other people were drinking “brown cow”- kahlua and milk I think. We had a good night.
