I was reminded of this when my husband’s phone rang, oddly enough — this photo is on his lock screen (I know, he’s too sweet!). We have a long running joke with his son and DIL where hubs will sometimes just randomly send them this picture because a couple of years ago he forgot he had already shared it with them and sent it to them a couple more times. I think it’s safe to say this is a favorite photo for him, LOL.

So my outfit is a dress bought from WH/BM for my niece’s wedding in London. Paired with my old trusty Rockstuds and a metallic-tinged champagne scarf from Nordstrom. The bag was a super cheap little thing from Charming Charlie that fell apart after three uses (which I think puts it at $3 per use, LOL).

I’ve worn this to a couple other special occasions since then, one time paired with black, and once with silver. I kinda wish the Rockstuds were silver because I would get more wear out of them, but oh well, I still love them.

If we are going all out black tie, I’ll wear the red ball gown in 2-3. Bought in 2009 for one of the presidential inaugural balls, and worn again a couple of years ago (when these pics were taken) for the inaugural ball for the mayor of our city. Glad I could get use out of it!
