Sal’s Challenge: The Olives

After the darks came olives. Here are some photos of outfits made with the olive Prana joggers and an olive tropical leaf print on cream.
Both pants and most of the rest is second hand. What do you think? Is the print too much? It was an impulse buy thinking I need some prints. Suggestions welcomed.
The photos are mixed up. #11 & 12 show the pants alone. The olive tank is Lands End in 1/2. A gift of unknown brand(s) in 3. and any others showing a set with a jacket. That olive is more greyed. #4 is the olive joggers with a silk murky water color print with olive in the mix with blues and black and cream. #6 is another print on an old button down top here used as a jacket and worn open. #8 is a white and olive boho poncho over the olive shell and olive joggers. The leaf print pants are worn in 1/2 with the LE top and EF white linen jean jacket. They are also featured in 9, 10 and 14, maybe 12/23 too, but I can’t tell much from the thumb nails. Sorry about the confusion. I can see them better once posted and will try to get back to fix things. Please ask questions.

I really like the leaf pants.Not too much at all l think.The joggers work well as well and will be useful so ,two good trouser purchases in my opinion.

Joy the leaf pants are so fab. My fav is #13 because to me, it’s just got a smidge of retro hippie vibe with a lot of I’m a cool now woman vibe mixed in.

Your water color print top in #4 and 5 is gorgeous! You could use it as the basis of a mini capsule. The Prana joggers are very flattering on you, and the leaf print is not at all too much! Fantastic styling with your white denim jacket in #2.

Thank you, Katerina, kkards, Irina, Windchime, and Sal. Katerina, kkards Sal and Irina, your liking the leaf print pants gives me the confidence to wear them regularly in the summer. I think they would be ok with dark brown and black on top too as they have some in the print, but I’ve not yet tried it. I don’t seem to a print that will work for pattern mixing unless it is quite hectic. Should I even look for one?
Windchime that is a good idea to build a small capsule around the water color top. It has a variety of blues and greens, grey and even purple in It. It was bought to wear with a purple skirt that I no longer own, but I think I can pull several items from what I have to add to such a capsule. Thank you for the idea.

I don't think the printed pants are too much at all. I don't know how well they would take to pattern mixing, but paired with a solid, they're just right.

I really love the unknown label set in pic 3, with your pendant. The pendant is the perfect size, shape, and length to complement the set.

I like the printed pants but they might be trickier to style than the olive ones, which are a slam dunk on you. I like the patterned ones with white on top and all the olive pants outfits.

Agreeing with Shevia that the solid pants are a slam dunk. That being said, the palm print is perfect for summer. I like it best in 1 with the tank top. Slim on top with more volume on the bottom works well with those pants!

Thank you, Angie. I will be secure in my leafy pants. That jacket in #2 is the best sunmmer jacket I’ve ever had. It is handkerchief linen so very light and airy.

Thank you, slim cat. The leaf pants and plain olive joggers were both from a consignment shop. The leaf pants are H&M and the olive joggers are Prana, I bought the joggers last year and the leaf print more recently.

I love both sets and pants. I also shop at consignment stores alot. I like the stylings in 2, 3 and 7 the best. Those olive sneakers are very cool.

Thank you. Sally. I hunted for over a year for some slip-on olive shoes and these are Bob’s that I found at the Rack. I need to use a shoehorn to get them on, but once on they are very comfortable.
