I read that last night.
Companies can file for bankruptcy and continue to operate. Brooks Brothers filed for bankruptcy in 2020 and they continue to operate. Apparently the company secured temporary financing and eventually found a buyer. From a customer's POV, it's as if nothing happened. Bizarre!
Wonder what will happen to Saks and Neiman Marcus (same holding company). They were bought by a Canadian company a few a years ago, I think....
