Saint and Sofia pants - YouLookFab Forum

So, in my quest to add an item or two to my casual wide-leg pants collection, since it’s a silhouette I like, I ordered these:

Here’s a quick try-on with a tee and sneakers, funny enough, very similar to the model photo. I sadly do not look anything like her in these pants! LOL

Regardless, I think I like them. They’re a nice weight and drape without being heavy or stiff. I like that the side stripe actually hangs straight on my hip — on my body, side stripes have a tendency to curve which does not look fab to my eye. The leg is almost too wide for my preference, but not quite. The length is *just* enough for me — i don’t care to wear the shorter lengths.

I think I like how they look here. My only real quibble is how long the crotch is. There is a good 4-5” of fabric hanging below my actual crotch point - you can see a little better in the photo with my leg out to the side. I don’t totally mind how it looks from the front, but I have a feeling the back view may be less than stellar (I already cringe at the thought that anyone sees me from the back). You know how pants like this can give you droopy or long butt unless you’re a slim little thing, which I am not. I’ll probably get my husband to give me an honest opinion when he returns home today or tomorrow. In the meantime, any feedback from the YLF hive mind?

I think these look fab on you- I really think if they will be used as casual, you don't have to worry about the rear look- and actually find the dropped crotch trendy. If the pants would be more structured, there won't be the same vibe we are after for with this look. YLF Janet!-pls keep!:-)

It's hard to say what the rear view is like, but based on photo #3, I think these fit beautifully and I would expect they will look great from all angles. The side stripe is a great feature and flattering. If I looked like you in those pants, I would keep them.

Angie, you read my mind — I popped on the cobalt blue moto and it’s a great combination! I’m always a little flummoxed with navy pants because I wear so much black, but I’m slowly warming to mixing black and navy/ink blue and trusting that it doesn’t look like a mistake.

Looks great to me! I like the easiness and sporty/relaxed vibe.
Recently I tried wide legged pants from Urban Outfitters and have similar thoughts about the crotch area - my slim hips do not help the very loose overall look. Still figuring out if I can wear it .

They look fab! Fun and drapey and comfy. I would do the sit test for the crotch point issue and see whether bunching fabric drives you nuts. Probably it won't though, because it is so drapey.

Those are beautiful pants and they look very good on you.
I understand the crotch but I usually find that they look better with it a little bit lower because it allows to flow better in the hips.
