I think they're fab! Especially since the androgynous look seems to be big for the fall. I may be mistaken, but I believe someone mentioned those Anthropologie oxfords on a different thread. I like both pairs!
Oh, my goodness! That first pair takes me back to my highschool pep club uniform in the early 60's! I never thought I'd see those again!
Each pair you posted is a different look. The second ones look like they could be worn more easily with both pants and skirts.
I love the second pair of shoes - still androgynous, but with a feminine touch. And if what Angie says is true and the 90s are coming back, then you'll be great in either pair.
I love the second pair! I recently bought a pair of ankle boots in this style and look forward to wearing them in fall.
I also got a pair from Urban outfitters last year. They are similar to the first pair you posted. I like pairing them with boyfriend jeans and romantic flowy (?did I make up this word?) tunics. I saw also a bunch of them in Europe over the summer. Good commuting shoes.
I can see you wearing the first pair, they look like your style and with the flat heel you can wear them with anything. The second pair look more for skirts. Both are very nice. I think I like the first pair best though because of the versitility.
I like the concept - I far prefer the 2nd pair - the 1st one seems a little too masculine to me. The 2nd one has the right combo of andro and fem with the bow. If they're comfy, I would get them in a heartbeat.
I wore saddle shoes as part of my highschool uniform so I have to admit the title of your post made me shudder a little. I like both of them though - the second one is definitely a very girly interpretation (I personally do not like the ribbons however) but I think the first one could be part of a cool androgynous outfit mixed with some feminine pieces.
