Anna, I have decided that I need to do some research and track down minor European royalty and find a single male member for you. You could wear your beautiful dressy clothes every day and never have to worry about these stupid casual dress clothes. And certainly never wear slacks! xx

Adore the DVF dress. Love the pedi and footwear plan. If you have the bank for the headband and can't get your mind off it, it will look stunning.

I suspect that all the casual weddings and such are because the men refuse to dress up and probably don't even own a suit.
I'm with Mo, wear what you have and save the $$$. The DVF dress seems perfect. However, the BCBG dress is beautiful. Could you wear it to the opera? Then you wouldn't have to worry about outshining a bride.

I'm with Thistle. The headband is very cool, but is this the right event for it? If the crowd was glam/clubby/cool, I'd say perfect, but the reference to slacks, especially applied as dress advice for you of all people, is throwing me off here.
