Almost 2 weeks ago Mr. Style Fan and I made the very sad and painful decision to say goodbye to our sweet Sophie. While we were in Florida she had injured her leg (mid March). She seemed to be adapting reasonably well but then she started to really struggle during the last 2 weeks. I am sure the unusually hot weather was making things worse for her. Our vet was extremely kind and caring to Sophie and us.
Mr. SF and I miss her terribly. She was such a sweet companion. Sophie was 5 years old when she came to live with us. I am not sure what her previous life was like but she had never been walked on a leash. We live on the TransCanada Trail. Sophie loved running up and down the Trail. The last 6 years of her life were happy ones.
