Sad news about the nude boots & seasonal shopping question

I love wearing my nude miz mooz boots but they've stretched out and they're not comfortable any more. I am so sad about this. I love them and I wear them all the time. I have to replace them. I'm torn about whether I should get a pair now or wait until fall. Selection is limited this time of year. I found a pair that I want to try but they are very pricey. The other possibility is to wait until fall. Of course I don't want to wait, I want them now, and there's no guarantees that there will be a wider selection of nude boots at that time. What if it's a waning trend and all of the nude boots are gone by next fall?

Sorry, wish I had a crystal ball around fall fashion trends, but all I can say is I'm sorry for your disappointment. I have no idea if these were boots you got at least a season or two ago--I hope you got a lot of wear out of them! Do you think you could send Miz Mooz an email? I remember reading here on the blog that Angie herself visited their office/factory a few years back and was impressed with how friendly they were. I'm sure they would at least let you know something about their plans for their upcoming lines.

If you find a pair that you love and the price is right, then I would say buy them now but don't settle. If you don't find the right boot, wait and see what is available in fall. Those nude boots look great on you.

What a shame those are great boots and the main reason I ended up getting mine. YOu have trouble finding your size don't you? I think you'd be safe finding some at another time if the ones you like are too pricey, but nothing is guaranteed. I see multiple pairs of mine still at the Rack on clearance so either the trend won't continue or it hasn't caught on yet and will be super popular next year in the lower priced lines.

i am confused now. Isn't nude a trend for spring? Why do you think there would be more variety in fall?

Mona - I see lots of nude boots on the aldo site that you posted - none here in the US. Maybe they think we are not wearing them!

Have you tried putting a good quality insert in them? That can make up half a size for me in my boots. Where are they too big?

They were 1/2 size big to start with - I already have an insert in there. They've stretched out more and now they are difficult to walk in because they are heels. Good suggestion though. Not sure if an insert can make up a whole size...

Was it you with the rule to BBQ if you find comfy shoes that fit? I went through enough boots this year that I think finding the perfect ones is a tough job - might as well look at this season's offerings first, then next season if need be. Then you have the largest pool of items to choose from.

That's a tough question. What if there is another color that trends in the fall that you decide you'd rather have? If it were cheaper to buy the nude ones now, I'd say go for it, but you mentioned that the ones you were looking at were actually pricey.

I second Mochi's suggestion to write to Miz Mooz and ask them. Tell them how very much you love the boots. Maybe they can help you round up a pair in the right size.

Lots of good suggestions here. I love those boots on you and wanted a pair myself. My advice is that when you find something you love that is just what you have been needing...snap it up and don't wait. If it's not perfect, then hold off.

Well that just stinks Rita! I know how much you love these boots. I agree with Mochi and Suz about contacting Miz Mooz to start with. See if they can help in any way. If that's not a possibility, I would look now. You love nude boots and it's part of your style - if a great pair comes along that is comfortable now I would BBQ, especially since you have difficult to fit issues. Is there anything similar on Infinity.com's website - they carry quite a few of the Miz Mooz brand.

Im so sorry to hear about your boots! I would only buy now if you can find the perfect pair, otherwise I would wait. We don't have many cool days left in this part of the country.

I'm sorry to hear about your beloved boots. I wish I could offer advice but I have been very unsuccessful in finding a pair. All the ones I've tried make me look as if I'm wearing a prosthetic limb or am covered in some sort of artificial skin. Nothing wrong with that though:)
I discovered there is more of a selection in taupe so I bought a pair. That color is a good option as well.

So sorry, but can't tell you any thing on this. There's always a probability and there's always not. So don't entirely stop searching till fall or don't get impulsated to buy them just now. Keep on searching from day 1 today until you find the perfect pair. You never know when you will find that perfect pair.

Happy Easter and so sorry too to hear this. It must be so frustrating for you! It's a shame. Writing to the company remains the best suggestion IMO. Otherwise, I would truly wait till fall. In the meantime, why not get summer platform ankle boots or booties? They are so big now.

Your nude boots would have been a super spring, summer and autumn look. Very unfortunate they stretched out on you. Can you tell us about the ones you have your eye on? I know you said they were a bit expensive, but I'm betting you get tons more wear out of them. They definitely suit you; that dress and jeans combo with them last week was absolutely KILLER. The nude boot trend is one you need to ride for all it's worth. I fully intend to get myself a pair after seeing you in yours.

They are ridiculously priced but with the low heel I would be able to wear them much more often. If they are better quality, which I suspect they are, they would last me longer too.

These are high heeled and impractical, but they are pretty and they made me think of you!

They are the Mariana by GOLC Women's Dora Boot. Endless has them.

Those boots are gorgeous but the heel height makes them impractical for me.

I have a pair of boots that I ordered larger than normal because my foot was too wide. They have a fairly high heel and my foot kept sliding forward.
I have two inserts in these boots now. I have one for my arch support and one of those ball of foot gel pads. The gel pad works pretty good at keep me from slipping foward.

Zap - I tried those two years ago and they were super uncomfortable for me. If they've changed the shoe at all they might be an option, though I would prefer a true nude rather than greige. I already have greige boots. They are fab but not the same effect.
