I can tell I'm in a rut, because I'm doing that thing where I go on Pinterest and click on everything of interest, trying to find some common and inspirational theme.
I usually don't hit this point until February or so, but I didn't do a real seasonal refresh this year, because, until this week, it had still been in the 80s and 90s most days. Now it's in the 70s and 80s, with sweater weather at night. I understand why Californians just sort of ignore the high temps in winter and dress for the mornings and evenings. With the short days, that afternoon high temperature is fleeting, so why dress for it? That being said, it's also not like dressing for a real winter.
Given all that, here's what I found interesting today:

Lots of dresses, lots of black. Sneakers and booties. Feminine with some hard edge.
Here's (most of) my current wardrobe:

I don't think I'm in a big style shift or anything, I just need to figure out how to keep things interesting. Any suggestions on what to add for a little of that urban edge I'm feeling? What do you think would have the highest impact? And how do you deal with ruts?
