What to wear with Rust colored boot?

So I bought a pair of Vagabond boots that are like a red rust color. Besides black jeans, I’d like to wear them with blue jeans but can’t figure out what color top to wear. Any ideas?

Try them with the same rust red, gray, brown or white. Red boots are pretty versatile.

Any neutral, and any earthy tone with similar qualities (e.g. assuming it's a more muted red, then a more muted colour would look great).

with blue jeans i'd try any color top you'd wear with black jeans! but for me blue jeans are the ultimate neutral...i'd try black, navy, white or cream.

Easiest is any color tonal to the rust- earthy peaches, burnt orange, mahogany brown. If you have brown or auburn hair the rust is a "bookend" to your hair. You can also add rust accessories too-a bag, belt, scarf, jewelry (tortoiseshell resin, copper, or red jasper especially).

I find that I have the easiest time styling colored footwear if I have a bag or scarf or some accessory that ties in the footwear color. Even just a print in a scarf that includes a similar shade can be enough. Or a belt or watchband in a similar tone. I think if you try something like that, you’ll find nearly any color top can work. Greens, blues, reds... and of course any neutral is a slam dunk.

Those are yummy. In addition to previous ideas I think you could wear them with olive, mustard, brown, and warm burgundy/maroon colours. As for neutrals, lots of options but navy would look especially good I think. They are reading as a version of ‘orange’ to me so blue eg navy is the complementary colour.

Try them with orange...the deeper and rustier the better, or any shade of brown. You might try a deep red that is not too bluish. Try to find a scarf in a print with that shade or something that blends and denim blue
