Running bra recommendations?

I've taking up jogging in the last couple of months and find that my existing sport bra collection does not provide enough support!

I am 34C and usually between and S and M. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I don't have any recommendations. I use a sport bra from Uniqlo and can't say I'm happy about it. So, I will be following this thread with a great interest.

I run ultramarathons and am chesty, so need a sports bra that gives support for a very long time. My go to run bra is the Knix Catalyst. Lots of support (I’m 34F) and minimal to no chaffing in our humidity. I’ve also had some success with Brooks run bras and with Lululemon Enlite for runs up to an hour or two.

I also like my Knix Catalyst bra, and I’m a really picky customer with sports bras because I need plenty of support (32G). Anita makes good ones too that don’t have so much padding.

I wear a Wacoal for running! It's definitely the most supportive I have ever run in. It's counterintuitive--it's thinner material than Jogbras I've had in the past, so it seems like it would be less supportive, but I really feel the difference when I'm running with PMS and soreness, no contest.

Caveat: I have a large ribcage and the bottom band does flip up on me sometimes. Although I should try this style that Angie posted, since it looks less like it has a big band across the bottom.

Well, I’ve always worn the OG of sports bras - the wide compression style without padding that you pull over your head, and is a ‘mare to get off without dislocating your shoulder! No hardware to abrade the skin. I’ve worn Champion, Brooks, and Nike, but currently rotate through 4 from Diadora (93% nylon, 7% spandex) that are 7 yo and still do the job - in other words, the girls don’t move when I do. My bra size is 32D.

If there are any stores near you that cater to runners like Runners’ World or The Running Room, you could always do a B&M browse of what they carry.

I like the Berlei sports bra - Electrify looks to be the one. I have five currently in a variety of colours. It’s underwire and very comfortable and supportive.

I have tried a LOT of running bras, including the Wacoal that Angie mentions. It didn't work for me - no nipple coverage, and the sizing was off. I also tried a bunch of others - too many to mention. I ended up with this one, which is very inexpensive,

Like Jaime, I don't run nor does it affect my body enough that I need a special bra. I am wishing you the best in your search for a supportive bra. I also turn my ankle when I run or jog. So my regular bra is fine. L

The first time or two one wears the Knix bra it might feel a bit too snug. However, it adapts quickly to your shape, so hang in for a run or two. I’ve tried many of those mentioned above, but this is the only one that gives me consistent comfort and support.

Enjoy your running! I started only a few years ago (mostly trail running) and quickly became thoroughly hooked.

NO running bra recommendations, I am too small to wear one, plus my ankles twist if I try to run. I walk fast instead.
