So I broke my "do not buy any more winter clothes til NAS or later rule" today. In my defense it's a workhorse duplicate-and was on big sale...
But No More. Really. No matter that the winter stuff is in the right colors for me and on deep discount. They will return when I need them!

Also added- 5 cheapo tanks for sleeping and underlayers (bra strap hiding cami alternative)-3 black, 1 each burgundy and color shown (nude alternative). Not counted towards 36-unless for some unlikely event I'd wear them alone.

I think a workhorse replacement is a good idea, Good to own it too - to keep to your goals. The goal is the key thing - thoughtful fantastic purchasing decisions. This top fits with that goal.

It’s the colors that are really my downfall these days. The colors available now are exactly MINE and I have never seen them for sale before... so I am constantly tempted to snap things up.

@Sterling about the cami thing- normal camis have very thin straps that don't cover the bra straps-these are wide enough to hide them, but fitted enough to serve the same function. Also- they don't ride up!
On that model it looks very bright and dark in comparison-but irl is more a cognac. A little darker than me, but neutral.
I'm happy to see the warm colors too Jessikams, but wish there were more dressy and true summer options. So much of it is in pants and sleeved tops, which I won't need again til at least late October-and many things will most likely be different then. Including, hopefully, my budget when DH is done his PhD

I agree with Janet's advice. Buying future basics and workhorses when you see them are always the best strategy.
