Ruffles for the unruffled

Apparently I can do ruffles, of a sort. This top is 25% off at JCrew right now, and I just bought it in the creamy white. Runs big. Fits great. Small, off-center, architectural ruffling at the bottom. Scuba-like material, machine wash.

I will wear this next week in Nashville and will post pics.

PS I am in Orange County, CA, land of the sun and amazing shopping. I am SO lucky that I don't live here. I would get nothing done and would spend a fortune.

I've been seeing a lot of these peplum hems popping up for spring.....even on leather jackets. It's a really cute top! Unfortunately my curvy hips and peplums don't play well together.

On the subject of temptation, I really really love that tshirt and would have clicked and ordered before finishing replying here if not for our horrific exchange rate right now. I really like it- and can't wait to see you in it. I love a good scuba top

That the type of ruffle / peplum I would be tempted to try. Those scuba type fabrics are lovely in the way the garments really hold their shape, don't crease and look very fresh. Can't wait to see it on you. Enjoy the sun

I love peplum and it is one of the few ways I feel comfortable wearing a ruffle. I have a top in a light-weight wool with a similar asymmetrical peplum hem. It's a fabulous addition to your wardrobe.
