Ruffled blazer

So here I am waiting for my son to fall asleep, and clicking around. This ruffled blazer caught my eye - I am not a ruffle gal, but this seems wearable. I have only ordered sheets from Garnet Hill - any feedback on their clothing?

I've never tried them, but that is adorable! (And I'm not a ruffle girl either) I'm going to have to look through the rest of their stuff now.

It is a little pricey...but gorgeous! I love the teal colour.

I have been a firm no ruffle girl in the past but am finding that I like ruffles that are in the centre of the garment rather than on the sleeves

Ok Alaska Girl, Carly and Megan - just stop it! Now, I'm looking too. (P.S. Alaskagirl - I am not a ruffle person either - but, I'm liking that jacket in the teal!) Never ordered anything from Garnet Hill.

Lovely jacket! I was at the Garnet Hill Store (and outlet) last month - the clothes are fabulous quality but I have to say that some of their house brand items are a bit on the dowdy side. It's hard to pinpoint why it is because they look great on the website and they definitely have some trendier looking items. I think their target audience might be the same as LL Bean's....

Ooh, Shana, if you go back would you see if they have this jacket? I didn't even know they had a store. Things look so cute in their catalog. Based on the reviewers, though, I think you're right about the targeted buyers. Could be because of the prices too... a little steep for recent college grads! When I've gone into j jill stores I've felt the same, the clothes often look better and more stylish in the catalog than in the store or on me.

I get their catalogs from time to time, but have resisted purchasing, probably because I don't want to admit that I might be in their target demographic age-wise. However, I was just on the site yesterday because a couple of tops caught my eye.

lynne, I feel the same way! But their models are so cute! I'm also in love with their cashmere cap, but not sure I can deal with $58. I think I'm also doubtful because it is so easy to dress in that l.l. bean/land's end style here anyway, because of the weather... forces more creativity, I suppose.

As a service to YLF, I think I'll pull the trigger on the 2 shirts and report back when I get them. I need cuter long sleeved tops to wear with my spiffy new shoes.

Unfortunately, the store and the outlet where in Franconia, NH - I popped in when we were on vacation in the White Mountains. We will definitely be heading back - but not until next year!
