Hi ladies happy new year. So my grandma gave me this diamond and ruby platinum ring and I'm a big fan of stacking and wanted your opinions on how it looks with my engagement ring? I have two thin diamond eternity rings that I usually wear but was wondering if this looked good too? What are your thoughts? I took pics with different combos

Wow, that's a beautiful ring. What a wonderful gift, and lovely that it came from your grandma.

I inherited a ring, and it came with a note, “Wear it with a smile.” So, that’s my first piece of advice- however you wear it, enjoy it!

Personally, I like it stacked with the eternity rings. But either way is fine. Have you thought of wearing it on your right hand?

what a thoughtful and meaningful gift. the thin eternity bands worn with the solitaire ring looks gorgeous. i tend to be conservative about left hand rings.

what do you prefer?

Pile it on and have fun! I don’t think it’s too much. I personally probably wouldn’t wear them all every day, I do much with my hands, but they do look lovely together.

If I were to layer them, I think I'd add the eternity bands to even out the silhouette of the engagement ring. Otherwise it looks like the engagement ring is riding over the other and that makes me nervous about it. Also, I guess I just prefer when the silhouettes match/mesh with one another. They are ALL very beautiful rings, however

If you're going to wear them all together, I think with the eternity band looks the best. It does look like a lot of weight for that one finger and might kind of water down the impact of your beautiful engagement ring.

Seriously, I kind of likens them stacked to fill out the engagement ring as Isabel said, but I’d try it on the other hand, too, as a “cocktail ring” and see if you like that.

Just read unfrumped's comment and went back to read my own, which I now realize was poorly written, haha.

What I meant was that although I do like them all together, the weightiness of the look is a little much for regular wear and might distract from your engagement ring.

I'm a little traditional-ish and if I had given someone a beautiful ring symbolic of marriage I might rather see it shine on it's own. If I was going to make an exception though, wearing it with a ring from someone in the family would be it.

What a beautiful ring! If you are going to stack it, I prefer it stacked with the two eternity rings. However, I think that since both the ruby ring and the engagement ring are statements, it might look better to have them on different fingers.

So I guess I'm confused. Do you guys mean just the eternity bands and not the engagement ring? Or the engagement rings and the eternity as opposed to just the engagement ring ?

I think you can wear it any way you like to change it up. My only question is does your ering rub over the diamonds in the ruby ring? If they come in contact you could essentially ruin your setting as well as the stones in the ruby band.

What I meant was that I thought that the engagement ring looks best with the two eternity rings when the ruby ring is stacked with the engagement ring. But I personally think that it would be better to separate the ruby ring from the engagement ring, because both are statements and I think deserve their own finger.

The problem is that my ring finger is a different size to my fingers on my right hand and right now the ring is too big for any finger and I don't know which finger to size it to
