Agrace and Angie
Thank you so much for thinking of me.
We left the office at 11.00 am to take the short trip to Edinburgh, I wore my GAP silk dress, grey booties, black micro fishnets, pleated handbag and vintage style jet and diamante jewellery. I felt absolutely fabulous.
We arrived in Edinburgh just before twelve and had a fabulous meal, I had steak frites and rum and raisin cheesecake which were both delicious. We where seated at an ideal table for people watching. George Street is very old money, the lady sitting next to me was wearing a Chanel Porcelain watch and Louboutins, I felt very proud to be holding my own wearing my half price GAP dress.
The men loved the Ralph Lauren style of preppy look, lots of blue and white striped city shirts, worn with a blue v neck cashmere sweater, dark blue straight leg jeans and tan loafers. The ladies wore brightly coloured cashmere, pearls and cute puffers.
In the evening we left the new town and visited the Grassmarket at the heart of the old town. In contrast to George Street the Grassmarket had a student, traveller vibe.
The party at the APEX hotel was a real eye opener, the table next to our was loud and raucous. One of the girls was wearing a banded top as a dress and kept mooning to anyone all night. Best dressed of the evening was a lady wearing a grey felt sheath dress with a burnt orange trilby, she looked fabulous.
I was true to my word and only drank four half glasses of champagne over the twelve hours and drank mostly water or lime and soda for the rest of the time. I think I will become t total from now as the alcohol did not add to the occasion for me.
I arrived home at 1:00am to find both of the girls up. Emmy is teething and Teah had a nightmare. It took until after 3:00 am for the household to be sleeping soundly and I was so relieved I had consumed so little alcohol.
Overall it was a fabulous day!
