Rockstuds with dress for wedding

Are you totally sick of seeing me in this dress yet??

Part of me wants to forgo the silver shoes (never worn so returnable) in favor of the Rockstuds, which are more comfortable and more “me” — but what do we think of them with the dress??

Posting with black wrap and gold jacket and various clutch options...

The downside is that I don’t have any special occasion suitable jewelry in gold. I’d have to shop for some statement earrings and/or cocktail ring in gold.

Thoughts??

PS I could also go back to Nordstrom and see if they have the wrap in gold...

I think the Rockstuds look totally adorable with the dress. If they’re also more comfortable and economical, why not go for it! I like the black wrap and the box clutch with this ensemble.

If you return the silver sandals then you have money for costume jewellery in gold.

I can't pick. I really like both. I have a slight preference for the way the silver look but if these are more comfy and more you, then why not go in that direction?

The dress looks super. I didn't comment on the other thread because I was on my phone and could not see the pics properly.

I love the Rockstuds with the dress and I really like the gold jacket too. The English can be more formal (definitely than NZers) so the wrap may be more expected especially for the church and any photos if it is cold. If I was expecting to need to cover arms for the ceremony and or photos I would choose the wrap - if it is for the reception/party later on I would choose the jacket....

The silver sandals and wrap were also very pretty and a gold wrap would also work. I like dark blue and gold and bronze - and I don't think an exact match needs to be there.

I thought the blue and black jackets were a bit heavy for this occasion....

Either way you look sensational and I am sure it will be a fantastic occasion,

No worries about meeting a church standard for dress, as the ceremony isn’t being held in Islington Town Hall, so I’m not worried at all about “dressing down” the dress with a jacket, as long as the jacket works. I may not even need it, if it’s a warm day!

Both the silver sandals and the Rockstuds are gorgeous with the dress. I prefer the silver sandals with the dress and silver jewellery. I also prefer a wrap over a leather jacket for a wedding. Whatever you wear you will look amazing in that dress.

So many wonderful options. I love the gold metallic leather jacket with either these or the silver shoes. Do you have a bag selected?

I think mixed silver and gold jewelry could work well. That way anything you purchase can be integrated into your silver collection and worn more frequently.

I prefer the RockStuds over the silver sandals, with either the black wrap or the gold leather jacket (which is perfect with the RockStuds!!). You look awesome!

First off, I love seeing you in this dress. It is beyond gorgeous on you. The fit is perfect. The aesthetic is elegant.

I very much prefer these shoes to the silver ones. The silver ones drew my eye downward away from your face. I notice these but they don't compete with you or the dress.

Shop for statement earrings in gold. I look forward to seeing your choice.

Between your feedback and my own personal feelings, I’ve decided to take the Rockstuds. Also the black wrap, gold jacket and (I think) the gold box clutch.

I have a little time tomorrow between commitments to pop into the stores and see if I find any dramatic earrings along the lines of the ones I had planned to wear with the silver complement. I like the ones here in my Find (it collected rose gold but they have gold in stock in my local store). If that doesn’t work out, I have a couple days in London to look for something too.

Fabulous! And oh, I love Islington! Such a fun part of town. We stayed on Arlington Ave. near the canal last time I was in London. There is some great shopping on Upper Street and also some nice restaurants. Go to Ottolenghi for lunch or breakfast...https://ottolenghi.co.uk/islington/

I am normally a silver gal but I much prefer the Rock Studs and gold jacket. Try a gold wrap but you can always default to the black one.

You've made the right choice with the Rockstuds, they are definitely a cut above the silver sandals. I'd take the black wrap and the gold jacket so you have your bases covered depending on the London weather as the summer heat has passed and it has become more variable. The dress looks beautiful on you Janet. Hoping you both have a wonderful time.

I like the gold with black a lot; much less predictable than silver. I hope you find the perfect earrings. In general I like the gold jacket with the dress, but for a wedding, I think I like the wrap better.

Well, you know I bat for team silver, but in this case I vote Rockstuds, gold jacket and dark wrap. Perfect! And why not wear shoes you own, esp such special ones. Take advantage of the occasion!
