I have such a hard time trying on clothes. I have a hard time looking at my body and seeing how lumpy and bumpy it is. I totally accept it--it is the way it is--but sometimes I feel like crying when the clothes I anticipate loving don't love me back.
However, I have had enough of living in rags. I need new clothes. I do not want a horizontal line across my widest bits. So here we are.
I am going to show you, though, and get your opinion because I just may have too much of a poison eye for how I look in clothes. When I bought my white jeans, I noticed all kinds of lumps and bumps on my thighs. The sales lady said to me, "Oh nobody ever sees those. We all have them. You see them because you are hyper focused. Don't worry about it." And I listened, and I was glad.
So, have I called it right--or am I missing something? (Either way, lol! I may want something so badly that I may be "blind" to its faults, too!)
I am pretty sure I do not like 1, 2, (blue "twist trim" scoop neck) 3 and 4 (purple boat neck cashmere).
I am not all that sure about 5 and 6. (teal supima cotton turtleneck.) Is the neck too high? I ordered the oatmeal, too. It is a very yellow oatmeal. I didn't even take it out of the package, though now I am wondering if I should have?
I do like 7 and 8. (shawl pullover. Inge's pick and look--no welt on the bottom!). But should I? When all is said and done, it cutsmy midsection in the same place as all the others.
I think I like the coat. (9, 10) Any issues with that (other than the back slit needs to be opened)?
Sorry about the shorts. It is 25 degrees C. (and my day off!) Do I need to put pants on for you to see the proportions properly?
I know I have been a bit of a forum hog recently, and I am so grateful to all of you for your patience and acceptance.
