Is anyone else watching this cop show?
Jane Rizzoli is the tomboyish cop, and Maura Isles is the bookish, practical Medical Examiner (sort of like the character on BONES.)
It's interesting how they dress them. Rizzoli wears pants, very down-to-business jackets. Sensible shoes. (For once! A detective who doesn't rush around in heels. Of course, Angie Harmon is very tall already.)
Isles is in beautiful dresses - very simple and classic. Lovely fabrics. Totally impracticable for a morgue, I'm sure. Last episode she had on a great Anorak over her dress. It looked like a silky fabric is a beautiful muted color. I really loved it. It was surprising to me - sort of sporty to wear with a dress, but the fabric was so beautiful and it hung so well, that it didn't look sporty. I'm sure her clothes are very expensive. And she does wear heels.
I'm sort of torn between the two. I like the practical aspect of Rizzoli's clothes. I'd probably dress more like her. But Isles looks so sophisticated and pulled together. I guess she's what I aspire to. (And there was a funny scene where she was shoe shopping on the computer at work. Ah, yes. Reality!)
