I really have a hard time saying one looks better than the other, you look great in either one.
But I admit to not being much of a RR. I avoid my rear view as much as possible. Flat butt + saddlebags + crooked spine = a disastrous rear view, no matter what. I prefer to live in denial. (Why can't some celebrity make saddlebags the new sexy thing to have?)
Just chiming in to say that I love my AG "The Legging" jeans. I have them in two washes. The yoke is angled and so are the pockets. I'm not an expert on the rear view, but these seem to be flattering. My main concern is that a jean doesn't give me the dreaded Long Butt. The legs are very, very slim. "The Stilt" jeans by AG are still skinny, but have a little more room and fit me more like straights. Good luck with your quest!
I cant say which one I like best (aspects of both... i suppose) but I really wanted to comment to say i appreciate these educational threads. I am probably in the market for replacement white jeans soon so having some leads on brands and thinking about what to look for is so very helpful (I am definately joining you on team rearview for my shopping priorities).
