Revisiting this sweater

Still has the tags on it. EF from the NAS sale. Does this one qualify as awesome? I'm not confident in my sweater choices at this point and hVe been on the fence about it. Very dramatic hi-lo in back. Thanks, fab ladies! Been running from this morning so hope to be contributing more from tomorrow on. Exhausted from this weekend.

Okay, so rather than beat around the bush, I am going to give you the advice I hope other fabbers would give me. I am not loving it on you. It seems too short in the front, the color doesn't make you light up. The drape looks okay but nothing that makes me sing for you.

I ask how it makes you feel because none of the above matters if you love it. You will love it, enjoy it and carry yourself in a way that makes all the little bits of imperfection disappear.

You know - I really like it. Like Thistle says though - you're the one who has to wear it - does it feel terrific?

I love the hemline and the colour, but I'm not 100 percent sold on that neckline combined with the dropped shoulder. I vote return.

I like this one better than the cardi from the weekend if you are having to make a choice. This one looks fun and modern. It looks like a short boxy shape that can be worn with full skirts, but that might not be what you are after. If you don't feel gorgeous in it and want to wear it all the time, let it go.

New here, so i hope I'm not being overly opinionated. I really like it on you, and could see it being a fall/winter workhorse if you loved it. But, if you're still hanging on to it and uncertain, it probably won't get a lot of wear after you pull off those tags. In that case, I'd return and translate those dollars into something you really love.

I have the same question as Thistle: How does it make you feel? I'm sensing that it's not making you feel terribly fab, so you might want to reconsider. It looks fine, and a boxy sweater can be useful, but I don't think it's a 10.

I'm also wondering how long the high-low trend is going to hang around. FWIW, I've made a vow to not buy any more items with this cut.

I love those boots...but I'm not in love with the sweater on you. It almost looks too boxy, or maybe too short in the front. But maybe it looks better IRL. With all the options out there with sweaters this season I bet you can find something that you love for sure.

When I did my first K/R here right after NAS, I got resounding positive feedback. It was summer, of course , but I also held back mostly because of the price...reduced but still way more than I'd imagined spending on a sweater. Also, I was, and still am, not completely happy with the suddenness of the length in the back (not hugely onboard with the hi-lo trend anyway).

That said, I just ripped the tags off this anyway, and am wearing it out now. I do like the Coe, neckline, texture and overall fit a lot. I'm also weary of the way I agonize over do many purchases that it's hard for me to end up with anything at all. It's starting to annoy me. I think I'll get a lot of use out of this....I do like it a lot. And since it's Eileen Fisher, at least I will always be able to consign it. Thanks for the honesty, though!

Mochi - I love this sweater on you. I loved it when you posted it the first time and I love it now. I think it looks fresh and modern and is very flattering to your shape. I'm still a big thumbs up!

Mochi, we could start a support group for the indecisive. My issue is fretting that there is something better out there.

I quite like this, it will look nice with your colored jeans too. And pencil skirt?

Nancy, I think it's helpful that you've revisited this, in light of your post about the R&B sweater. I really like this on you, and I'm glad you've kept and worn it. I know the styles and uses for the sweaters are not really comparable, but I would have to say I love this sweater a lot more on you than the other one. This sets a higher bar.

I love it! I think it's begging to be layered as AG says. Have you considered wearing this sweater with a pencil skirt. The length at the front would be perfect for a skirt:)

Although I see that I am late to the party - horrible travel schedule - I wanted to add that I really like this sweater on you! I'm very partial to charcoal and to texture, so I was an easy win on the item alone but I think it looks great. I also hate agonizing over purchases and think you were right to give this one a go iRL. So nice to have consignment as a backup, isn't it?

I am not impartial because I have this same sweater and I love it. I liked it on you when you first posted and I still do. I've not yet worn mine, not because I am unsure about it but more because it's one of my favorites of my new things so I guess I'm kind of "saving" it.

I'm glad to see that you are keeping it and wearing it...enjoy!
