Well, I learned a major lesson today. I went back to try on the Burberry leather jacket, because I had liked how the arms weren't constricting and wanted to double-check whether there'd be room for a sweater. I'm wearing the same thin top as I was yesterday, so you can imagine my surprise when the sleeves in the upper arm were tight. It didn't make
sense, and under no circumstances am I willing to buy a leather jacket at that price that needs stretching.
The problem, I think, was that when I tried on the jacket yesterday, it had been five days since my last workout, which meant my muscles weren't swollen. Yesterday evening, however, I resume my bench press routine. The difference in swelling is unfortunately significant.
So the moral of the story is to try on outfits the day after you strength train.
