Big thank you to Angie for sharing her NAS finds, especially the Timberland Glastonbury 6 inch sneaker. Mine arrived today in black and I could not be happier. They are beyond comfortable and very well made, fulfilling a HEWI for me. I had a couple of ankle surgeries this year and wanted the warmth and support of a comfortable, casual laced sneaker bootie. Last winter I couldn't quite make myself pull the trigger on a pair of Cole Haan sheep skinned lined high tops for $300. Enough of a wild card that I wanted to be sure I'd get my wear out of them before a splurge. These fit the bill; I'll waterproof them. I have low volume feet and though some observe they run small, they fit me in my regular size, arriving with a built-in (not easily removed) comfort insole. I went up half a size only so that I can layer my own insole on top of the original one. If you have wider feet, read the reviews for fit information.

In keeping with the dangers of NAS, I am sorely tempted to get them in wheat as well. While that is not always my color, I like it with white and blue jeans, and think it would also work with navy and charcoal casual looks. This shoe is functional, well-made and fairly priced.
