Review (ETA one picture): Madewell linen tees

I ordered these with the additional sale code last week, which made them a great bargain. I tried two colors of the Madewell tee and two of the Rivet & Thread. And they all work! They are varied neutrals so I'm keeping them all. Size S is slouchy on me but that's how I prefer my tops so I'm thrilled. And that makes me done with shopping for summer work tops, given our climate and my needs. WOOT! Will post pics when you all are not so sick of me posting!

ETA: This is the silk noile tee in off-white... I really love the fit and sleeve length, and the unfinished neck hem and jagged bottom hem. It is SO SO hard for me to find tees that fit! And I'm wearing a black bra.

Great looking tees! Looking forward to seeing these on you. Wondering if the black and white are see-through. Did you get either of those colors?

Carter, nothing is see-through! I ordered the off-white Rivet & Thread tee and you can barely see a black bra under it. That's the best part. They are draped but solid, almost like an Eileen Fisher quality. Hopefully they will hold up...

I really like this top. Una or Kelly, have you washed this yet? I'm always curious to hear how linen gaments hold up to laundering. I've had some pieces last for years, and some fall apart the first time, like a washed kleenex.

That is too funny! I went on a bender a few weeks ago and bought both of those tee styles to try on for my summer. I wasn't immediately smitten by them on me, but I haven't taken them back yet, either. You are absolutely right--the quality seems great!

I also bought the miracle tee (in a S, though XS would also work) and like La Belle, I'm very curious to hear how it looks after the first wash. I haven't taken the tags off mine yet, and it's a bit expensive compared to what I usually buy. Curious to hear how it holds up.

I got mine on sale plus an additional code for 30% off... Yes, washing will be interesting. The silk noile ones are amazing, though. Kelly, they run big so M will give you a draped look...

Thanks so much for this review. I don't have mine yet, but am thrilled that the Madewell brand is not sheer. That was one of my top criteria and everyone I looked at was sheer beyond belief.
